Devon Overbey's journey began in 5th grade, where he was taught violin in his elementary school along with many other students. He decided to stick with the instrument over time as he found it to be a worthwhile investment. Within a year, he sought out to learn a wider variety of instruments. At the age of 13, Devon had learned guitar, bass, and piano and began songwriting- around the same time that he had discovered the Beatles. This time in his life helped him to develop a strong passion for music that would change his life forever. In high-school, Devon delved even further into his love for music. During this time, he joined his second and third band, preformed in the House of Blues, composed and recorded an entire symphony, and began playing the upright bass in his school orchestra. Today, Devon enjoys spending his free time composing contemporary classical music and writing songs in an ever-increasing variety of genres.
